Scoperta

Poster realizzato per la mostra murale La scoperta organizzata da Dario Carta presso il Comune di Treviglio.
Concepito come un manifesto contro la crescita bellica attuale, utilizza una citazione di Isaac Asimov (tratta dal Ciclo della Fondazione) per denunciarne l’assurdità.
Oltre alla citazione, il manifesto contiene una semplice infografica che rappresenta il numero dei testate atomiche (la scoperta dell’atomo) nelle nazioni in cui sono presenti, pericolo concreto di estinzione.
Questo è il primo utilizzo della font LuckyStarr, che ho progettato ispirandomi sia alla Sci-Fi degli anni ’70 che ad alcuni caratteri Letraset dell’epoca utilizzati (anche) per le copertine dei romanzi.

Poster created for the billboard exhibition *La scoperta* organised by Dario Carta in the town of Treviglio.
Thinked as a manifesto against the current escalation of war, it uses a quote from Isaac Asimov (taken from the *Foundation* series) to denounce its absurdity.
In addition to the quote, the poster features a simple infographic showing the number of nuclear rockets (the ‘discovery of the atom’) in the countries where they are present, representing a real threat of extinction.
This marks the first use of the LuckyStarr typeface, which I designed, drawing inspiration from both 1970s sci-fi and certain Letraset typefaces of the era, which were (also) used for novel covers.
